Edding is a brand founded in 1960 in Hamburg, Germany, by Carl-Wilhelm Edding and Volker Detlef Ledermann with a capital of only 500 German Marks. Over time, the company became so synonymous with the industry that it became almost a generic name for marker pens in Germany.

The brand's most distinctive differentiator is the ability of its first proprietary product, the "Edding No.1" marker, to write even on hot, oily, and damp surfaces. This innovation achieved great success at the time and laid the foundation for the brand's reputation for permanent, durable writing materials.

The collection includes Edding 550 permanent markers, which can write on almost any surface including paper, cardboard, metal, glass, plastic, and wood in a water- and abrasion-resistant manner, the E-1255 series calligraphy pens, and the E-5000 series broad-tip acrylic markers. These products cater to a wide range of uses, from daily labeling and marking to calligraphy work and decorative acrylic painting techniques.

As one of Edding's authorized dealers in Turkey, Karin Sanat carries the brand's full range of marker and calligraphy products. All products are sourced through official distributor channels with an original product guarantee and are offered both through our Fatih and Nişantaşı stores as well as via karinsanat.com.
