Fabriano is one of the world's oldest paper mills, having produced paper in the town of the same name in Italy's Marche region since 1264. As the pioneer of cotton-fiber paper production in Europe, the brand has introduced three major innovations that changed the history of paper: surface sizing with animal gelatin, the watermark, and the multi-hammer mill.

19. century, the factory was revitalized under the leadership of Pietro Miliani, winning a gold medal at the Great Exhibition in London, and was the preferred choice of figures such as Giuseppe Garibaldi and Gabriele D'Annunzio. Since 2002, the brand has been part of the specialty paper manufacturer Fedrigoni Group and continues production today in its Italian factories with a tradition spanning over 750 years.

Karin Sanat carries Fabriano's flagship Artistico watercolor paper series; these 100% cotton papers are sold in Traditional White and Extra White color options, in hot press, cold press, and rough textures, in 300 gsm and 640 gsm weights, and in 56x76 cm sheets.
