Fine Tec is a brand of pearlescent and metallic watercolors produced in the German town of Emskirchen, with roots tracing back to a paint workshop founded in Nuremberg in 1872. The production and worldwide distribution of the Fine Tec brand are managed by the family business Reißzeugfabrik Seelig, which has been operating since 1954; today, the brand has become a globally recognized name in the calligraphy and hand lettering community.

The brand's most distinct feature is its largely handcrafted production process, based on natural mica and special glass pigments. Thanks to this unique method, a characteristic wavy texture forms on the surface of each paint pan; with high pigment density and strong lightfastness, the paints dissolve easily in water and can be applied comfortably with a brush, calligraphy nib, or glass pen.

In the collection, classic Fine Tec metallic watercolors are sold in pan format in individual shades such as Silver, Champagne Silver, Arabic Gold, Olympic Gold, Royal Gold, Bronze, and Copper. The Fine Tec Premium series features more highly pigmented individual shades, including Rich Gold, Pharaoh's Gold, Fine Gold, Pale Gold, Pewter, and Real Silver, which contains genuine silver. In addition to these, the range is completed by metallic, iridescent, and neon watercolor sets of 6, 12, and 24 colors, as well as empty metal and plastic storage boxes to keep the pans organized. These products are ideal for artists who want to add special touches to their calligraphy, hand lettering, illumination, and gilding work.
