Gouache is a type of paint that, similar to watercolor, is thinned with water but possesses opaque properties. Therefore, gouache brushes need to both hold water well and be capable of laying down highly pigmented paint smoothly onto paper; brushes with soft bristles offer both of these features.

Gouache brushes at Karin Sanat are largely made from synthetic bristles; synthetic bristles hold water well, are easy to clean, and are long-lasting. Options made from Kolinsky sable hair are offered for users seeking finer detail work and smoother color transitions.

All brushes in the collection are from the Da Vinci brand; some of these are the Karin By Da Vinci series produced exclusively for Karin Sanat (round and flat-tipped synthetic brushes). The range includes the Junior series for beginners, the Fit and Nova synthetic series for daily use, the Series 36 Kolinsky sable brush for those desiring natural hair, and the Colineo series for fine retouching work. The brushes are offered in round, flat, and filbert tip shapes, in a wide range from the thinnest to the thickest sizes.

Karin Sanat offers options suitable for artists of all levels with its wide range of series and sizes in gouache brushes. All products are sourced through official distributor channels and are available for sale through our Fatih and Nişantaşı stores as well as via karinsanat.com.
