Iranian ink is a type of ink used in traditional calligraphy for colored lettering and illumination decorations, produced in vivid and diverse shades, unlike black sumi/India ink. In calligraphy, ink is a fundamental material that complements the effect of the pen and brush used, directly shaping the appearance of the work.

Color, permanence, and consistency are the most important elements determining the quality of calligraphy ink. Ink with the correct consistency ensures a smooth flow at the tip of a reed or bamboo pen, offering uninterrupted thickness and color density in lines; this makes a difference, especially in fine detail and ornamentation work.

The collection includes a wide color scale from the Emiran brand, offered in 50 ml bottles: in addition to red, turquoise, cyan, coffee, saffron, green, olive green, and walnut tones, blue and red shades from the Taher sub-series are also part of the range. This variety of colors offers a wide range of options for calligraphers who want to create different effects in illumination, miniature, and colored calligraphy compositions.

As one of Emiran's authorized dealers in Turkey, Karin Sanat maintains the brand's complete line of Iranian ink products. All products are offered with an original product guarantee and are available for sale through our Fatih and Nişantaşı stores as well as via karinsanat.com.
