Lyra is the oldest pencil factory in Nuremberg, Germany, founded by Johann Froescheis in 1806. Its lyre symbol, registered in 1868, is one of the oldest trademark registrations in the industry. The brand left significant marks in the history of art supplies with its Lyra Orlow graphite drawing pencils, launched in 1885, and the Klimax, the first one-handed mechanical pencil of its time.

Today part of the Italian FILA Group, Lyra maintains high standards for pigment quality and color consistency with over two centuries of experience, and uses only PEFC or FSC-certified wood in its products. The brand's flagship Rembrandt series is developed for professional artists with its high-pigment-density formulation that allows colors to blend easily.

At Karin Sanat, Lyra’s Rembrandt Polycolor colored pencils offer smooth application and easy blending with their oil-based formula; they are sold individually as well as in 12, 24, 36, and 72-color sets (some in metal tins). Rembrandt Aquarell watercolor pencils, which are completely water-soluble and indistinguishable from classic watercolors once applied, are also available in the same set options. For professional artists, Rembrandt Art Design graded graphite pencils are included in the range individually in all hardness degrees from 9B to 6H.

Karin Sanat stocks Lyra's Rembrandt series of colored pencils, watercolor pencils, and graphite pencils with a wide range of colors and hardness options. The products are procured through the official distributor channel and are available for purchase via karinsanat.com as well as our Fatih and Nişantaşı stores.
