PanPastel is a brand of ultra-soft pastels launched in 2007, developed by Colorfin LLC, which was founded in 2005 in Pennsylvania, USA, by artist Bernadette Ward and engineer Ladd Forsline. Completely rethinking the traditional pastel stick format, the brand developed a proprietary manufacturing process that compresses dry pigment into a patented pan format. Acquired in 2022 by Golden Artist Colors, one of the world's leading manufacturers of acrylics and pigments, PanPastel has continued to expand its color range since that date.

The brand's most distinct feature is its pan format, which makes pastel usable like paint. Thanks to its high pigment density, dust-free, and minimal-binder formulation, the colors are applied much more cleanly and with more control than stick pastels. The paints are not applied with fingers, but with Sofft Tools, which are specially developed porous sponge applicators; this allows for soft transitions, layering, and blending that are not possible with traditional pastels.

The collection includes a large number of individual pastel pans, with primary colors expanded by shades, tints, and extra dark tones; the Pearl Medium and Pearlescent series appeal to artists looking for pearlescent and metallic effects. While the Colorless Blender is used for smooth transitions between tones, ready-made sets in various sizes are also available, ranging from 5-piece sets to a full 80-color package.
