Sennelier is a deep-rooted art supplies brand that has been operating in Paris, France, right across from the Louvre, since 1887. Founded by chemist Gustave Sennelier, the store became a hub for artists such as Cézanne, Gauguin, and Picasso in its time; the founder built the brand's reputation for pigments by developing custom colors for artists who could not find the shades they were looking for.

The brand's most distinctive difference is its tradition of formulation that responds directly to artists' needs. In 1949, at the request of Picasso, who asked for "colors that I can use on any surface without preparation," Gustave's son, Henri Sennelier, developed the world's first professional oil pastel. This invention remains the brand's most recognizable product family today.

The collection features Sennelier's iconic oil pastels (as individual sticks and in sets, including iridescent tones and transparent medium), dry pastels in half-pan format offered in portrait and beginner sets, and 300g watercolor papers in rough, cold press, and hot press textures. These products appeal to a wide range of users, from artists focusing on pastel painting and portraiture to those working with watercolor techniques.

As one of Sennelier's authorized retailers in Turkey, Karin Sanat carries the brand's full range of pastel and paper products. All products are sourced through official distribution channels with an original product guarantee and are offered both at our Fatih and Nişantaşı stores as well as via karinsanat.com.
