Schmincke Akademie Artist Series Oil Paint The Schmincke Akademie series consists of 48 vibrant and brilliant colors. All colors in this series have maximum lightfastness ratings (4 and 5 stars). It features a smooth, paste-like consistency, making its flow ideal. It dries quickly and spreads evenly across the paint layer. By mixing the primary yellow, primary magenta, and primary cyan colors of the series, you can obtain many secondary colors. The Akademie oil paint series guarantees a bright and eye-catching painting experience due to its many colors made from single, pure pigments. It can be used directly from the tube or mixed with other paints. Developed through educational experiments in Schmincke laboratories, this balanced and feature-rich series also includes opaque and transparent colors. Furthermore, as a special feature, it includes 4 different white colors. With these 4 white colors, you can achieve various purposes such as lightening colors through graded mixing or creating a white base layer to work upon. The natural sunflower oil used in the paint's composition ensures an optimal drying process and a smooth, evenly dense consistency. All 48 colors are offered in 60 ml tubes, and 38 colors are available in 200 ml tubes. Titanium white has also been released in large 500 ml bottles and 5-liter buckets.
