Detailed Information
Karin Ebru Carrageenan (Irish Moss), which is the best of the thickeners used as raw material in marbling and is the preferred choice of masters, is a brown seaweed plant harvested from the depths of the ocean. It is considered the thickener with the most superior properties for the art of marbling. Carrageenan lasts for about thirty to thirty-five days under normal temperature and humidity conditions. Its preparation is relatively easier compared to "tragacanth gum". 6 grams of Japanese sea moss is sufficient for 1 liter of water.
