Moorman Mat board is produced in the Netherlands from 1.4 mm thick acid-free paper. It is available in many color options. While it can be used for our traditional arts such as illumination (tezhip), marbling (ebru), and calligraphy, it is also an excellent option for displaying works created with watercolor, oil paint, acrylic paint, and pastel.

Mat board (paspartu) is a type of frame insert, usually made of cardboard, that allows paintings, photographs, or other works of art to achieve a more aesthetic appearance within a frame. Preferred by art lovers and design enthusiasts, matting helps artworks stand out while also serving a protective function. This space created around the artwork provides visual balance, offering the viewer a more aesthetic experience.

Mat board can be preferred in various fields. It is widely used in art exhibitions, photography studios, and even home decoration. Especially mat board frame combinations allow artworks to be displayed more impressively on walls. Additionally, frames with mat boards offer a meaningful touch for pictures or photos you give as gifts to your loved ones on special occasions.

There are many advantages to using a mat board. First of all, mat boards produced with handmade Nepalese paper and fabric ensure that your artwork looks more stylish within the frame, creating an aesthetic presentation. Furthermore, the mat board increases the distance between the artwork and the frame, allowing the artwork to stand out more. This is a great advantage, especially for valuable paintings and photographs.

There are several important factors to consider when choosing a mat board. First, the quality of the mat board plays an important role in preserving the artwork. By choosing non-acidic materials, it is possible to ensure the longevity of your artwork. Additionally, the color and thickness of the mat board can affect the overall appearance of the work. With mat board options in different colors and thicknesses, you can further enhance your artistic expression.
