Detailed Information
The history of OLFA Cutter Knives began in 1956 when Mr. Yoshio Okada, the founder of OLFA, sought a solution for the need for blades that would not lose their strength and sharpness. The superior quality of OLFA blades is the perfect result of a multi-stage manufacturing process. All OLFA blades are produced at precise angles for high-level sharpness, long life, and balanced cutting. The blades do not lose their hardness during tapered sizing and sharpening processes. With their angles, lengths, and widths, OLFA blades have become the international standard in the "snap-off" blade industry today. The name OLFA consists of two Japanese words, which translate to "blade break." The parallel, right-leaning rectangles in the OLFA logo represent the "snap-off" blades.
