Schmincke Aqua Bronze Watercolor Gilding Pigment 20 ml 813 Pale Gold

Schmincke 15 Bronze Series is produced using genuine and authentic metal pigments. This series consists of five colors: Rich Gold, Rich Pale Gold, Pale Gold, Copper, and Silver. These Bronze Pigments contain real bronze and aluminum pigments. They have very high lightfastness. They are more covering and opaque, and also more vivid and brilliant than other metallic effect colors made with pearlescent pigments. They should only be applied to objects indoors. They are not suitable for outdoor use. They are used to achieve a shimmering metal effect on oil paintings or on pre-primed surfaces such as wood, metal, and plaster. Oil Bronze pigments should only be mixed with Schmincke 50032 Bronze Medium, which contains coumarone resin. When using Oil Bronze on absorbent surfaces, we recommend thinning it slightly with Odourless Thinner 50019 before mixing it with the Bronze Medium. Immediately before use, mix using a palette knife in a ratio of 3 parts Oil Bronze to 2 parts Bronze Medium. If necessary, thin with Odourless Thinner. Once dry, it forms a water-resistant layer that retains the gloss of wet paint. Dried paint layers can be dissolved with Rectified Turpentine 50102 and Odourless Thinner.
