Source of colors – top-quality artists' pigments with minimum binder content. With Schmincke pastels, you experience the purest form of color. Our sticks consist only of the finest artists' pigments and contain no chalk. The binder content is so low that the medium-fine ground pigments have almost no binding.

Pastel colors from the manufacturer The exceptional formula, allowing for a uniquely vibrant color application, requires an equally unique production process: handmade manufacturing. Through a traditional and highly meticulous process, pre-kneaded doughs are formed into round strands, then removed by hand and cut to the correct length. The still-damp sticks must air-dry for approximately eight days before being labeled by hand.

Each of the 75 selected colors has 5 tones: in addition to the pure color (D), there is a black mixture (B) and 3 white mixtures (H+, M++, O+++). In addition to this balanced range, we offer a 10-tone neutral gray series, 5 extraordinary dark tones, gold, silver, 2 black tones, white, and 5 special pearlescent tones for unique effects.
