Schmincke Oil Bronze Oil Paint Gilding Pigment 50 ml 803 Pale Gold

Schmincke 15 Bronze Series is produced using original and genuine metal pigments. There are five colors in this series: Rich Gold, Rich Pale Gold, Pale Gold, Copper, and Silver. These Bronze Pigments contain real bronze and aluminum pigments. Their lightfastness is extremely high. They are more covering and opaque, as well as more vivid and brilliant than other metallic effect colors made with pearlescent pigments. They should only be applied to indoor objects. They are not suitable for outdoor use. They are used to achieve a shimmering metal effect on oil paintings or previously primed surfaces such as wood, metal, and gypsum. Oil Bronze pigments should only be mixed with Schmincke 50032 Bronze Medium, which contains coumarone resin. When using Oil Bronze on absorbent surfaces, we recommend thinning it slightly with Turpentine Substitute 50019 before mixing it with the Bronze Medium. Just before use, mix using a palette knife in a ratio of 3 parts Oil Bronze to 2 parts Bronze Medium. Thin with Turpentine Substitute if necessary. When dry, it forms a water-resistant layer that maintains the sheen of wet paint. The dried paint layers can be dissolved with Rectified Turpentine 50102 and Turpentine Substitute.
