Ideal for the temporary protection of oil paintings that are not yet completely dry; it softens dull areas frequently seen in oil paintings (less film on matte parts); it also imparts the properties of oil colors to tempera undercoats. Spray at room temperature by moving the can from side to side and top to bottom, holding the can 30 - 40 cm away from the object, which should be placed vertically or slightly tilted and be completely dry. (Change the direction of the spray away from the painting!) After the paint surface has dried, i.e., at the earliest after 4 weeks, it can only be applied with a suitable varnish brush. The dried varnish layer remains soluble in turpentine substitute 50019 for a long time. It can be painted over with oil colors or a final varnish based on mineral spirits can be applied. Clogged spray nozzles are best cleaned using acetone. Store in a cool and dry place. Protect from sunlight and do not expose to temperatures exceeding 50 °C (122 °F). Individual preliminary tests are required.
