Detailed Information
In the art of marbling, there are many auxiliary materials that enable the dance of colors on water and the formation of unique patterns. One of these materials is paraffin.
The Role of Paraffin in Marbling Art
• Paraffin is a special material that adds a completely different dimension to the art of marbling and is used to create shimmering textures. Added to the marbling water, paraffin forms a thin film around the paints, giving both depth and brightness to the resulting patterns.
Use of Paraffin
• Adding to the Paint Mixture: A small amount of paraffin is added to the marbling paint and mixed.
• Adjusting the Amount: The amount to be used is adjusted according to the desired effect. Using too much paraffin can cause the paints to spread uncontrollably and lead to distorted patterns.
• Recommendation: Use such solvent products, if possible, when your marbling tray is dirty and nearing the end of its service life. Otherwise, even trace amounts of residue will remain in the tray and reduce the lifespan of your marbling tray.
• Storage Conditions: It should be stored in a cool and dry place.
