Aqua linocut printing inks offer a wide range of possibilities in the field of single-color and multi-color linocut printing and material printing.

All 15 linocut printing inks and 3 effect inks are based on gum arabic and contain high-quality organic and inorganic pigments. They are characterized by excellent lightfastness (only 4-5 stars) and unique color intensity.

Aqua Linocut – for uncomplicated processes

All colors are ready to use, can be mixed with each other, and thinned with water if necessary. Optimum open times ensure excellent workability, making it possible to achieve sharp and even print results.

Aqua linocut printing inks dry within 15 minutes and are smudge-resistant, but are not waterproof and can be easily overprinted. Linocut printing tools offer further creative effect possibilities.

Different linocut printing techniques

In addition to linocut printing done with a special printing press, which is preferred by many experienced artists, there is also the option of making stamps. In this method, a linoleum block or carved rubber plate is used like a stamp. Woodcuts are also suitable for this technique. In all these methods, the linocut ink is spread thinly onto a glass plate and then applied thinly to the printing block using a linoleum roller. The design is transferred to the printing surface by applying even and constant pressure.

Various materials are suitable as surfaces for linocut printing. In addition to plain paper and colored cardboard, materials such as felt or fabric can also be used for printing.
