Aqua linocut printing inks offer a wide range of possibilities in the fields of single-color and multi-color linocut printing and material printing.

All 15 linocut printing inks and 3 effect inks are gum arabic-based and contain high-quality organic and inorganic pigments. They are characterized by excellent lightfastness (only 4-5 stars) and unique color intensity.

Aqua Linocut – for uncomplicated processes

All colors are ready to use, can be mixed with each other, and can be thinned with water if necessary. Their optimum open times ensure excellent workability, making it possible to achieve sharp and even printing results.

Aqua linocut printing inks dry within 15 minutes and are smudge-proof, though not waterproof, and can be easily overprinted. Linocut tools offer further creative effect possibilities.

Different linocut printing techniques

In addition to linocut printing using a special printing press, which is preferred by many experienced artists, there is also the option of stamp making. In this method, a linocut block or an engraved rubber plate is used like a stamp. Woodcuts are also suitable for this technique. In all these methods, the linocut ink is spread thinly onto a glass plate and then applied thinly to the printing block using a linocut roller. The design is transferred to the printing surface by applying even and steady pressure.

Various materials are suitable as surfaces for linocut printing. In addition to plain paper and colored cardboard, materials such as felt or fabric can also be used for printing.
