Aqua linocut printing inks offer a wide range of possibilities for single-color and multi-color linocut and material printing.

All 15 linocut printing inks and 3 effect inks are based on gum arabic and contain high-quality organic and inorganic pigments. They are characterized by excellent lightfastness (4–5 stars only) and unique color intensity.

Aqua Linocut – for uncomplicated processes

All colors are ready for use, can be mixed with each other, and thinned with water if necessary. Their optimum open times ensure excellent workability, making it possible to achieve sharp and uniform printing results.

Aqua linocut printing inks dry within 15 minutes and are smudge-proof, though not waterproof, and can be easily overprinted. Linocut printing tools offer further possibilities for creative effects.

Different linocut printing techniques

In addition to linocut printing with a special printing press, which is preferred by many experienced artists, there is also the option of stamp making. In this method, a linocut block or a carved rubber plate is used like a stamp. Woodcuts are also suitable for this technique. In all these methods, the linocut ink is spread thinly onto a glass plate and then applied thinly to the printing block using a linocut roller. The design is transferred to the printing surface by applying even and constant pressure.

Linocut printing surfaces

Various materials are suitable as surfaces for linocut printing. In addition to plain paper and colored cardboard, materials such as felt or fabric can also be used for printing.
