Schmincke Mussini Artist Oil Color 150 ml Series 1 490 Prussian/Paris Blue

Series 1 490 Prussian/Paris Blue Mussini Finest Artist Oil Color High-quality oil paint Mussini is an oil paint that stands out worldwide for its unique quality, containing natural resin as a binder. It is produced based on the formulas of famous historical masters of painting. The Mussini series features 101 colors and 7 gold tones. 64 of these colors are single-pigment colors, possessing the highest possible level of vibrancy, brilliance, and purity. Therefore, it is an artist series with a very wide variety of pure, single-pigment colors. The series also includes 42 exquisite and elegant semi-transparent colors. The pigments are of premium artist quality and have the highest possible pigment density. Lightfastness and durability are also at the highest level, as is the case with all Schmincke artist series paints. The drying process is balanced and occurs at the same rate throughout the paint layer. When applied to the painting surface, Mussini paints form a permanent and tension-resistant paint film. The Mussini series is offered in 35 ml tubes for 108 colors and 150 ml tubes for 32 colors. Mussini oil paints, which stand out all over the world with their unique texture, quality, and features, were born from the centuries-old experience of the Italian painting tradition and are named after Professor Cesare Mussini, who worked at the Florence Academy of Fine Arts. The eye-catching color quality of the Mussini series stems from the use of traditional oil paint making techniques preserved from the old masters, as well as the careful selection of pigments and the use of natural resins as binders. The Mussini series possesses the most important features that artists worldwide look for in oil paints, such as brilliant color luminosity, the highest level of lightfastness, and a pleasant, smooth, buttery consistency. Mussini is manufactured by incorporating only the best traditional pigments along with some cutting-edge modern pigments, ensuring the highest possible density of pigment per unit. Mixtures made with these paints lose none of their brilliance and produce results as good as paints made from a single pure pigment. These paints, consisting solely of high-quality pigments and natural binders such as linseed oil, safflower oil, and dammar resin, owe their properties—such as excellent light refraction, enhanced vibrancy, brilliance, and exceptionally durable color layers—to this raw material quality. The superior drying properties of Mussini series oil paints result from the evaporation of the solvent content in the natural resin while the oil-based components absorb oxygen and expand, causing the paint layer to shrink optimally and uniformly. This balanced drying process occurs evenly throughout the entire paint layer, creating a tension-resistant and permanently guaranteed paint film. Schmincke Mussini series oil paints can be mixed extremely easily with other Schmincke oil paints (Norma Professional, Akademi, and College series) and oil painting mediums to achieve creative tones.
