Schmincke Mussini Artist Oil Paint 150 ml Series 1 645 Asphaltum Black Translucent

Series 1 645 Asphaltum Black Translucent Mussini Finest Artist Oil Color. High-quality oil color. Mussini stands out all over the world for its unique quality; it is an oil color that contains natural resin as a binder. It is produced based on the formulas of famous historical masters of painting. The Mussini series consists of 101 colors and 7 gold tones. 64 of these colors are single-pigment colors, possessing the highest possible levels of vibrancy, brilliance, and purity. Therefore, it is an artist series with a very wide variety of pure, single-pigment colors. The series also includes 42 exclusive and elegant semi-transparent colors. The pigments are of premium artist quality and have the highest possible pigment density. Lightfastness and permanence are also at the highest level, as with all Schmincke artist series paints. The drying process is balanced and occurs at the same rate throughout the paint layer. When applied to the painting surface, Mussini paints form a permanent and tension-resistant paint film. The Mussini series is offered in 108 colors in 35 ml tubes, and 32 colors in 150 ml tubes. Mussini oil colors, which stand out worldwide for their unique texture, quality, and characteristics, were born from centuries of experience in the Italian painting tradition and are named after Professor Cesare Mussini, who worked at the Florence Academy of Fine Arts. The eye-catching color quality of the Mussini series stems from the use of basic oil painting techniques preserved from old masters, as well as the careful selection of pigments and the use of natural resins as binders. The Mussini series possesses all the most important features sought by artists worldwide for oil paints, such as brilliant color radiance, the highest level of lightfastness, and a pleasant, soft, buttery consistency. Mussini is manufactured by incorporating only the best traditional pigments and some state-of-the-art pigments into the production process at the highest possible density per unit. Mixtures made with these paints lose none of their radiance and yield results as good as those made with single, pure-pigment paints. Composed solely of high-quality pigments and natural binders such as linseed oil, safflower oil, and dammar resin, these paints owe their excellent light refraction, enhanced vibrancy, brilliance, and extraordinarily durable color layers to this raw material quality. The superior drying properties of Mussini series oil paints result from the evaporation of the solvent content of the natural resin while the oil-based parts of the paint absorb oxygen and expand, causing the paint layer to contract and shrink in an ideal manner. This balanced drying process occurs uniformly throughout the paint layer, creating a tension-resistant and permanently guaranteed paint film. Schmincke Mussini series oil colors can be mixed extremely easily with Schmincke’s other oil colors (Norma Professional, Akademi, and College series) and oil painting mediums to achieve creative shades.
