Schmincke Mussini Artist Oil Paint 150 ml Series 2 788 Brownish Grey 2

Series 2 788 Brownish Grey 2 Mussini Finest Artists' Oil Color. A high-quality oil color, Mussini is distinguished worldwide for its unique quality, containing natural resin as a binder. It is produced based on the formulas of famous masters of art history. The Mussini series includes 101 colors and 7 gold tones. 64 of these colors are single-pigment colors, offering the highest possible levels of vibrancy, brilliance, and purity. Thus, it is an artist series with a remarkably wide range of pure, single-pigment colors. Additionally, 42 of the colors in the series are exquisite and elegant semi-transparent types. The pigments are of premium artist quality and possess the highest possible pigmentation density. Lightfastness and permanence are at the highest degree, as with all Schmincke artist-grade paints. The drying process is balanced and occurs at the same rate throughout the entire paint layer. When applied to a painting surface, Mussini paints form a durable, tension-resistant paint film. The Mussini series is available in 108 colors in 35 ml tubes and 32 colors in 150 ml tubes. Distinguished worldwide for its unique texture, quality, and characteristics, Mussini oil colors were born from centuries of experience in the Italian painting tradition and are named after Professor Cesare Mussini, who worked at the Florence Academy of Fine Arts. The eye-catching color quality of the Mussini series stems from the use of centuries-old fundamental oil painting techniques preserved to the present day, as well as the careful selection of pigments and the use of natural resins as binders. The Mussini series possesses the most important features sought by painters worldwide for oil colors, such as a brilliant luminosity, the highest level of lightfastness, and a pleasant, smooth, buttery consistency. Mussini is manufactured by incorporating only the finest traditional pigments along with some state-of-the-art modern pigments, ensuring the highest possible pigment density per unit. Mixtures made with these paints retain their brilliance and perform as well as single-pigment paints. Composed only of high-quality pigments and natural binders such as linseed oil, safflower oil, and dammar resin, these paints owe their excellent light refraction, enhanced vibrancy, brilliance, and extraordinarily durable color layers to this quality of raw materials. The superior drying characteristics of Mussini oil colors result from the evaporation of the solvent content of the natural resin while the oil-based components absorb oxygen and expand, causing the paint layer to contract and shrink in an ideal manner. This balanced drying process occurs uniformly throughout the entire paint layer, creating a tension-resistant, permanently guaranteed paint film. Schmincke Mussini series oil colors can be mixed extremely easily with other Schmincke oil paints (Norma Professional, Akademie, and College series) and oil painting mediums to achieve creative tones.
