The masqh works prepared by the four great masters of Islamic calligraphy have been published in collaboration between IRCICA and Sakıp Sabancı University, Sakıp Sabancı Museum (SSM):
Kazasker Mustafa İzzet Efendi's (1801-1876) Sülüs-Nesih Calligraphy Meşk Works (SSM, 120-0164); Hasan Rıza Efendi's (1849-1920) Thuluth-Naskh, Muhakkak, and Rik'a Practice Works (SSM, no. 120-0225); Mehmed Hulûsi Yazgan's (1869-1940) Ta‘lîk Practice (SSM, no. 120-0322) and Mehmed Esad Yesârî's (1730-1798) Nesta‘lîk Practice (SSM, no. 120-0061). The writing samples prepared by teachers for their students in Islamic calligraphy education are a legacy of art history and are of great value as resources that can be used today. Collected in four separate volumes with introductory texts in Turkish, English, and Arabic, these practice sets (murakkas) follow IRCICA's previous publication of Mehmed Şevki Efendi's (1829-1887) Sülüs-Nesih Meşkleri (3rd edition, 2022) and Mustafa Halim Özyazıcı's (1898-1964) Divanî, Celi Divanî ve Rık’a Meşkleri (2003), documenting this important artistic heritage.
